Privia Medical Group West Texas PLLC's response

Following the discovery of the breach, Privia Medical Group West Texas PLLC sent notification letters by U.S. mail to those whose information was potentially exposed. This notification is a critical step, as it allows affected individuals to take action to protect themselves from possible identity theft or fraud.

Given the types of information exposed, those affected should remain vigilant. It is recommended to:

  • Monitor credit reports and bank accounts for any signs of unauthorized activity
  • Consider placing a fraud alert or credit freeze with major credit bureaus
  • Be cautious of unsolicited communications that ask for personal information
  • Review health insurance statements for unfamiliar charges or claims

If additional resources such as free credit monitoring or identity theft protection are offered by the company in the notification letter, affected individuals should take advantage of these services.
