
Nevada Estate Planning and Probate LLC, a Henderson, Nevada, law firm that serves clients with estate planning, asset protection and probate matters, disclosed a data breach that affected approximately 13,324 people in the United States.
On Sept. 15, 2026, the firm disclosed the breach to the state attorneys general of Indiana, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The firm began sending notification letters to affected consumers on Sept. 15, 2026.
On June 5, 2026, the firm became aware of suspicious activity on its computer network. The firm took steps to secure its systems and launched an investigation into the nature and scope of the event.
The investigation determined that certain files on the firm's systems were accessed or acquired without authorization between June 2, 2026, and June 5, 2026. The unauthorized access lasted approximately three days before the firm detected it and began its response.
Following the discovery, the firm undertook a comprehensive review of the affected files to determine what information they contained and to whom it related. The review concluded on Aug. 17, 2026.
The types of personal information that may have been exposed include names, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers and state identification numbers.
The firm is offering complimentary credit monitoring through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company.
To enroll in the monitoring services, affected individuals must visit the Cyberscout enrollment website and enter the unique code included in their notification letter. Enrollment must be completed within 120 days of the date of the letter.
