Live Nation Entertainment, the world's leading live entertainment and eCommerce company, disclosed a data breach that exposed highly sensitive consumer information.
The breach was disclosed to the Vermont Attorney General on Oct. 1, 2026.
Separately, on Sept. 4, 2025, a threat actor using the name ByteToBreach posted on the open web claiming to be selling stolen data from Live Nation Entertainment and its subsidiary Ticketmaster. The threat actor claimed to possess names, email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses and browser fingerprints of affected individuals.
At this time, it remains unclear if the two incidents are linked.
The compromised data confirmed to have been disclosed in the 2026 state attorney general filing included personally identifiable information (PII) such as Social Security numbers, government ID numbers and health records.
Live Nation Entertainment has begun the process of notifying affected individuals about the breach and the potential impact on their personal information. The notification process involves reaching out directly to consumers whose data was determined to be compromised during the incident.
Individuals who may have been affected should watch their mail for a notification letter from Live Nation Entertainment. These letters generally include details about what happened, what steps the company is taking and what resources may be available to help protect affected individuals.
