HCF Management's Response

In response to the data breach, HCF Management took immediate action to contain the incident and engaged a forensic security firm to conduct a thorough investigation. The company has worked to ensure the ongoing security of its computer systems and has notified law enforcement, cooperating fully with the investigation.

To support those affected by the breach, HCF of Shawnee is offering a complimentary one-year membership to Experian IdentityWorks Credit 3B. This service provides identity protection and monitoring, helping to detect potential misuse of personal information. Affected individuals are encouraged to take advantage of this offer to safeguard their identities.

Given the nature of the breach, it is advisable for those affected to remain vigilant by monitoring their financial accounts and credit reports for any suspicious activity. Taking proactive steps, such as placing fraud alerts or credit freezes, can also help mitigate the risk of identity theft.

Protect Your Data

A breach notice means your personal details could be circulating far beyond the organization involved. One practical step is continuous monitoring: services such as Identity Defender (included with an ExpressVPN subscription) can automatically check dark-web markets, flag new credit-file activity, and request removal of your information from data-broker sites.

This kind of “early-warning system” can’t undo a breach, but it can help you spot misuse quickly and limit further exposure. ExpressVPN is offering 61% off, risk-free for 30 days, with ID Theft Insurance included and no extra cost for those who sign up for one or two years.
