EmCentrix Data Breach Exposes Sensitive Personal Information

EmCentrix, a provider of human resources and payroll integration software, experienced a data breach. EmCentrix discovered a network disruption on August 14, 2024, and an investigation revealed certain files were accessed or acquired by an unauthorized party.

On June 16, 2025, EmCentrix determined that personally identifiable information (PII) may have been compromised due to the cybersecurity incident. Exposed information could include names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers and other personal information.

The data breach was reported to the California and Montana Attorney Generals' offices on June 26, 2025. The exact number of affected individuals has not been disclosed.

EmCentrix's response

In additional to required state disclosures, EmCentrix notified affected individuals by mail on June 26, 2025 and is offering free identity protection services.
