DRT LLC, a shared services organization in the transportation industry, experienced a data breach affecting at least 14,470 individuals in the United States. On May 29, 2025, a cybercriminal accessed several DRT owned email accounts which led to unauthorized access to files containing personally identifiable information.
The company discovered this breach on June 11, 2025 and an investigation determined compromised information may include names, addresses, contact information, Social Security numbers, dates of birth and other information.
The data breach was disclosed to the Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Texas Attorney Generals' offices beginning on July 9, 2025, reporting 1,025 Texas , 53 Massachusetts, 17 New Hampshire, and five Maine residents affected. DRT LLC began notifying impacted individuals on by mail on July 10, 2025.
