
CMD Outsourcing Solutions, a Baltimore-based company that provides multi-channel customer service solutions for higher education institutions, government agencies and healthcare providers, disclosed a data breach that exposed personal information for customers.
The breach was disclosed to the Vermont Attorney General on May 21, 2026. The total number of individuals affected across the United States has not been publicly reported.
On April 7, 2026, the Akira ransomware group posted a public claim on the dark web, stating that it had obtained data belonging to CMD Outsourcing Solutions.
The group reported that the compromised data allegedly included employee documents, financial records and other sensitive organizational information from CMD Outsourcing Solutions.
At this time, the consumer information confirmed as exposed in the breach included Social Security numbers.
