Bee, Bergvall & Co. Data Breach Exposes Financial and Medical Information

Bee, Bergvall & Co., a certified public accounting firm founded in the early 1980s and based in Warrington, Pennsylvania, disclosed a data breach involving unauthorized access to its computer systems.

The breach was disclosed to the Vermont Attorney General on Sept. 25, 2026. Bee, Bergvall & Co. additionally posted a notice on its website about the incident.

On Oct. 14, 2025, Bee, Bergvall & Co. discovered unauthorized activity within its computer systems. The unauthorized access occurred over a period of time, though the exact dates during which the systems were compromised were not specified.

Upon identifying the incident, the firm initiated an investigation and engaged an outside forensic firm to determine the nature and scope of the breach. The forensic investigation concluded that certain personal information stored in the company's systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized party.

The personal information that may have been compromised as a result of the breach included first and last name, date of birth, Social Security number, taxpayer ID number, driver's license or state-issued identification number, passport number, other government-issued ID number, financial account information, financial account codes, credit and debit account information and payment card information, health insurance information and medical information.

Bee, Bergvall & Co.'s response to the breach

Bee, Bergvall & Co. also urged affected individuals to monitor their accounts closely and report any suspicious activity. The company issued a warning about potential scams that may reference this incident or similar data breach notices, advising people to verify the authenticity of any communications they receive.
