AutoAPS Data Breach Exposes Personal and Health Data of 1,591 Individuals

Autoaps LLC, a California-based medical case management company, disclosed a data breach that affected 1,591 individuals in the United States.

The breach was reported to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on May 22, 2026.

As a medical record retrieval services company, Autoaps held sensitive information in its networks for various businesses, including Knights of Columbus.

The breach exposed a broad range of sensitive personal and health-related data. The types of information compromised included names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, financial information, medical records and medical information.

AutoAPS' response to the breach

AutoAPS is offering complimentary membership to identity protection services through IDX to affected individuals. The enrollment steps are provided in the notification letter mailed to individuals.

Additionally, the company advises individuals to remain vigilant for fraud or identity theft.
