Why is there a false advertising class action settlement?
The class action lawsuit alleges Alderfer Family Farm LLC and Alderfer Poultry Farm Inc. falsely advertised certain eggs as produced by free-roaming hens. The plaintiff claims this violated New York’s deceptive acts and false advertising laws.
Alderfer denies the allegations, but both sides agreed to settle to avoid the uncertainty and expense of ongoing litigation.
