A hacking group known as LAPSUS claimed responsibility for targeting Mercor and accessing its data. The breach was linked to malicious code found in LiteLLM, which is widely used across the internet.
On March 30, 2026, a group actor posted on Telegram, claiming to be selling Mercor’s database, which allegedly contains 4TB of databases, source code and a large amount of customer and employee data.
Mercor has stated that it moved to contain and address the security incident, working with third-party forensic experts to investigate. However, details about the specific data accessed remain unclear as investigations continue.
