What Happened?

Maritz Holdings Inc experienced a significant data breach after an unauthorized third party exploited a previously unknown vulnerability in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), which Maritz uses for finance-related purposes. The breach occurred between Aug. 10, 2025, and Aug. 13, 2025, before Oracle publicly disclosed the vulnerability. On Nov. 13, 2025, Maritz discovered that the CL0P ransomware group had claimed responsibility for the attack and posted about it on the dark web.

The company launched an investigation with third-party cybersecurity experts and notified law enforcement. The investigation confirmed that files containing personal information were accessed and obtained by the unauthorized party. Maritz notified affected individuals in writing on Feb. 27, 2026.

Information Exposed:

  • Names
  • Social Security numbers
  • Financial account information

The breach impacted individuals previously or currently working with Maritz, as well as those associated with Maritz’s clients. While the total number of affected individuals in the United States has not been disclosed, specific numbers were reported for certain states, including four in Maine, eighty-five in Massachusetts, and three in New Hampshire.
