What happened?

On April 29, 2025, Healthcare Therapy Services discovered problematic activity involving its email systems. By Sept. 9, 2025, an investigation determined that both personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) belonging to patients may have been compromised.

The company began notifying affected individuals by mail on Nov. 7, 2025 and published a substitute data incident notice on its website on the same day.

HTS Therapy reported the breach to the Massachusetts Attorney General's office on Nov. 8, 2025. The total number of impacted patients and employees has not been publicly disclosed.
