On March 9, 2026, Fulcrum Real Estate Services became aware of suspicious activity on its Egnyte platform, a cloud storage and collaboration service. The company began an investigation with the help of independent cybersecurity experts.

The investigation revealed that certain files may have been accessed or acquired without authorization on March 9, 2026. By May 5, 2026, Fulcrum determined that some individuals’ personal information was included in the potentially affected data.

The breach was reported to the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office on June 2, 2026. The company has also notified the FBI and is cooperating with any resulting investigation. According to the disclosure, two people in Massachusetts were affected.

Additionally, on April 29, 2026, the ransomware group INC RANSOM claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that they had obtained 2 TB of Fulcrum’s data and posted about the incident on the Tor network.
