
United Medical Systems Inc., a specialty healthcare company that provides mobile urology and imaging services to hospitals, surgery centers and physician offices across the United States, recently disclosed a data breach affecting 485 people, including 30 residents of Massachusetts and four of Maine.
The company, headquartered in Westborough, Massachusetts, delivers transportable medical equipment along with technical staff and operational support to healthcare facilities for specialized urology procedures.
According to the company's written notification to consumers, the breach involved the exposure of sensitive personal information. The specific types of data that were compromised included driver's license numbers and Social Security numbers.
The company began notifying affected individuals on May 20, 2026.
United Medical Systems is providing complimentary identity monitoring services through Kroll. The monitoring package includes single bureau credit monitoring, unlimited fraud consultation and identity theft restoration.
United Medical Systems also established a dedicated assistance phone line for people who have questions or concerns about the incident or the monitoring services being offered. The assistance line is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time, excluding some U.S. holidays.
