Goddard Systems Data Breach Exposes SSNs

September 2023 Data Breach

On September 13, 2023, Goddard Systems, LLC detected suspicious activity in an employee's email account. This prompted an immediate security response to secure the compromised account and initiate a thorough investigation with the help of third-party cybersecurity experts. The investigation revealed that from September 8 to September 13, 2023, there was abnormal activity within the account. By March 13, 2024, it was confirmed that certain personal data was indeed contained within the affected email system. Although no direct evidence has been found that this data was accessed by unauthorized parties, the possibility could not be entirely ruled out.
