SportsMed Physical Therapy Data Breach Exposes Health Information

SportsMed Physical Therapy, a multidisciplinary outpatient rehabilitation company headquartered in Glen Rock, New Jersey, disclosed a data breach involving a compromised employee email account.

On May 8, 2026, SportsMed Physical Therapy detected suspicious activity related to a single employee email account. The company began an investigation after discovering the activity.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The types of information possibly contained within the affected email account include patient names, dates of service, provider names, diagnosis information, treatment information and health insurance information.

SportsMed Physical Therapy posted a notice on its website on July 7, 2026.

The call center can be reached at 1-833-851-9744, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET, excluding major U.S. holidays. Individuals may also contact the company by mail at 266 Harristown Road, Suite 304, Glen Rock, NJ 07074.

SportsMed Physical Therapy encouraged potentially affected individuals to remain vigilant by regularly reviewing their credit reports, account statements and explanation of benefits forms for suspicious activity.

The company directed individuals who believe their information has been misused to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at 600 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Washington, D.C. 20580.
