On Jan. 16, 2026, SNP Transformations, Inc., the North American subsidiary of SNP Group, disclosed a data breach that exposed personally identifiable information (PII). The breach affected at least 15 individuals in Massachusetts, with the potential for a broader impact across other regions.

According to the official disclosure, the incident involved unauthorized access to information such as first and last names, Social Security numbers and driver's license numbers. The specific method of the breach and the responsible party were not detailed.

Written notices were sent out to affected individuals on Jan. 15, 2026. The breach was also formally reported to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation on Jan. 16, 2026.

SNP Transformations' response

In response to the breach, SNP Transformations partnered with third-party cybersecurity experts to conduct an investigation and reinforce their security measures. The company has restored its systems and operations, implementing further technical safeguards to enhance the protection of personal information.

Affected individuals are encouraged to remain vigilant for signs of identity theft or fraud. Regularly reviewing credit reports, monitoring account statements and considering a security freeze are recommended steps to help protect against potential misuse of personal data.

SNP is offering 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity restoration services through Experian. Impacted individuals must enroll by March 31, 2026, to take advantage of these services.

The company’s notice provides detailed instructions on how to sign up for credit monitoring, place fraud alerts or security freezes and obtain free credit reports with the three major credit bureaus.
