
Service Lighting, Inc., a prominent lighting distributor based in Maple Grove, Minn., has reported a data breach affecting 25,736 individuals in the United States, including 1,748 Texas residents and 151 Maine residents.
The incident occurred on March 12, 2025, but was not discovered until Feb. 2, 2026.
The breach was the result of malicious code being installed on Service Lighting Inc.’s e-commerce website. This code was designed to capture payment card data as it was entered during online purchases.
The unauthorized access potentially impacted transactions made through the online store between March 12, 2025, and Sept. 16, 2025. As a result, the following types of personally identifiable information (PII) were exposed include full name, payment card information, expiration date and CVV code.
The company notified affected consumers electronically on March 4, 2026. Moreover, the breach was disclosed to the attorneys general of California, Maine, and Texas.
