







Remarket Space, a used car auction and vehicle marketplace, recently experienced a significant data breach affecting at least 7,146 individuals across the U.S. The company notified the Maine Attorney General's office of the breach on Nov. 29, 2025.
On Oct. 26, 2025, the company’s systems were compromised in an external hacking incident targeting its Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 file storage. The breach was discovered on Oct. 28, 2025, prompting an immediate internal investigation.
The exposed information consists of images of driver’s licenses submitted by users for identity verification, which includes names, dates of birth, addresses, and other personally identifiable information (PII).
The exposure of driver’s license images can carry significant risks, including identity theft and impersonation.
Upon discovering the breach, Remarket Space took several immediate steps to contain the incident and protect affected individuals. The company secured the compromised systems, reset system credentials, and enhanced access protections.
