On December 28, 2024, PowerSchool Group LLC, a prominent provider of K-12 education technology solutions, discovered a significant data breach. The breach occurred on two separate dates, December 19 and December 28, 2024. This incident has potentially impacted a large number of individuals across the United States, with specific numbers reported for different states.

Notably, 881,249 individuals were affected in Texas, 494,476 in South Carolina, 314,107 in Washington, 33,488 in Maine, 49,921 in Iowa, 18,476 in Massachusetts and 6,766 in Rhode Island. However, the total number of people affected nationwide has not been reported.
