Passco Companies Data Breach Exposes Personal Info of 8,335 People

Passco Companies LLC, a real estate investment and development company headquartered in Irvine, California, has disclosed a data breach affecting approximately 8,335 people in the United States, including 12 Maine residents, 27 Massachusetts residents, six New Hampshire residents, one Vermont resident and six Indiana residents.

Passco learned of suspicious activity on certain systems in its network environment. In response, the company took steps to secure its network and launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party computer forensic specialists.

The investigation determined that limited information was taken from Passco's systems during a period of unauthorized access on Aug. 7, 2025. After detecting the unauthorized activity, the company hired a separate third party to conduct a comprehensive review of the compromised data to identify what types of information were involved and which individuals were affected.

On Dec. 16, 2025, Passco received the results of this review and confirmed that personal information belonging to certain individuals had been compromised. The types of personal information exposed varied by individual but included names, Social Security numbers, driver's license or state identification numbers and financial account information.

Passco began notifying affected individuals in writing on April 17, 2026, with additional notifications dated June 11, 2026.

Passco Companies' response to the breach

The company is offering complimentary access to Experian IdentityWorks credit monitoring and identity protection services. The monitoring package includes an Experian credit report at signup, ongoing credit monitoring, identity restoration assistance and $1 million in identity theft insurance.

Affected individuals who received notification letters dated April 17, 2026, have until July 31, 2026, to enroll online or by phone. Individuals who received the later notification have until Sept. 30, 2026.

Passco set up a dedicated assistance line for affected individuals at 833-918-1108, available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Central Time, excluding major U.S. holidays. Individuals who received the later round of notifications can call 833-918-1100 during the same hours.
