Nursa Data Breach Affects 13,168 in Washington

Nursa, a healthcare staffing platform based in Murray, Utah, disclosed a data breach involving unauthorized access to user profiles on its web application.

On Feb. 27, 2026, an unauthorized party accessed and exported a limited number of user profiles from Nursa's web application, according to the company's notification to consumers. A second incident occurred on March 18, 2026, when the same unauthorized party again accessed and exported user profiles from the platform.

Nursa's web application is the primary platform through which clinicians create profiles to find and request available shifts at healthcare facilities. Upon discovering the breach, the company resecured the platform and began working to determine which users were affected.

The investigation confirmed that the personal information exposed included names and full dates of birth.

The breach was disclosed to the Washington Attorney General on May 13, 2026, with 13,168 Washington residents identified as affected. The total number of individuals affected across the United States has not been publicly disclosed.

Nursa began notifying affected consumers on May 13, 2026.

Nursa's response to the breach

Nursa encouraged affected individuals to remain vigilant by reviewing their credit reports and account statements for suspicious activity. The company also informed individuals of their right to file a police report with local law enforcement if they believe they have been victims of identity theft.

Nursa set up a toll-free call center to provide proactive fraud assistance to affected individuals. The call center can be reached at 1-833-380-7404 and is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, excluding major U.S. holidays.
