
mTrade, officially known as Mortgage Trade Holding Co. LLC, disclosed a data breach that exposed Social Security numbers.
The company is a financial software provider headquartered in Oxford, Mississippi, that operates the mT360 platform for buying, selling and managing residential whole loans.
The breach was reported to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation on Aug. 21, 2026. Notification letters were sent to affected individuals on that same date.
The specific details such as the nature of the attack, when it took place or how it was discovered remain limited.
The breach exposed Social Security numbers.
The company is offering affected individuals 24 months of free credit monitoring services through Cyberscout, a TransUnion company.
To enroll, affected individuals can visit Cyberscout's activation page and enter the unique code included in their notification letter. Enrollment must be completed within 90 days of the date of the letter.
The company has set up a dedicated toll-free assistance line at 1-800-405-6108 for individuals who have questions about the incident. The line is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern time, excluding major U.S. holidays.
