The breach was disclosed to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation on July 19, 2026. The company began notifying affected consumers on or about July 15, 2026, and posted a notice about the incident on its website.pdf).

Minnesota Health Insurance Network's response to the breach

The company sent written notifications to all those potentially affected. The notification letters outlined steps affected individuals can take to protect themselves, including guidance on placing fraud alerts and security freezes, obtaining free credit reports and safeguarding against medical identity theft.

Individuals whose Social Security numbers were involved in the breach are being offered complimentary credit monitoring services.
