Interim HealthCare Data Breach Exposes Protected Health Information

Interim HealthCare of Oklahoma City Inc., a home health and home care provider based in Oklahoma City, disclosed a data breach that affected hundreds of individuals in the United States.

The company offers a broad range of services, including home healthcare, hospice care, medical staffing, personal care, palliative care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and wound care. It operates as a franchise location within the larger Interim HealthCare Inc. network, a leading national franchisor of home care, hospice and healthcare staffing that has been in business since 1966.

The breach was reported to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on July 31, 2026.

On Aug. 10, 2026, a ransomware group called GENESIS posted a claim on a dark web. The GENESIS group claimed it had successfully obtained data belonging to the organization. The group further stated its intention to publish the stolen information within five days.
