On October 16, 2024, GeoLogics Corporation discovered that its network had been compromised, resulting in the unauthorized access or theft of sensitive personal information. The breach occurred between December 21 and December 23, 2023, but was not identified until several months later. After discovering the incident, GeoLogics launched a comprehensive investigation to determine the scope of the breach and the individuals affected.

In total, 11,948 people in the United States were impacted by this breach, including 1,988 in Texas and 16 in Maine.

The exposed information included a wide range of personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI): names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, government-issued ID numbers (such as passports or state ID cards), financial information (including account numbers, credit or debit card numbers), medical information, and health insurance information.

GeoLogics completed a thorough review of the compromised dataset on April 8, 2025, using multiple rounds of address lookup, deduplication, and quality assurance to ensure all affected individuals could be notified. The company disclosed the breach to the Maine Attorney General’s office and the Texas Attorney General’s office on May 6, 2025.
