
FCCI Insurance Group, a commercial insurance company headquartered in Sarasota, Florida, disclosed a data breach that exposed sensitive personal and health information.
Founded in 1959 as a workers' compensation self-insurance fund for local Sarasota contractors, the company has since grown into a major commercial insurer serving businesses across much of the United States.
The breach was reported to the Texas Attorney General on Sept. 3, 2026, with 376 Texas residents identified as affected.
The personally identifiable information exposed included names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, government-issued identification numbers (such as passports and state ID cards), financial information (such as account numbers and credit or debit card numbers) and dates of birth.
The compromised protected health information included medical information and health insurance information.
