Entyre Care Massachusetts Inc., a Boston-based home-care and caregiver support company, disclosed a data breach that affected at least 1,677 Massachusetts residents identified as affected.
The company discovered the incident on May 12, 2026. Consumer notification letters from the company's parent entity, Entyre Inc., were mailed to affected individuals on July 10, 2026.
The breach occurred when an employee inadvertently published files containing personal information to a publicly accessible online repository on March 2, 2026.
The error went undetected for more than two months. During that time, the files containing personal information were potentially viewable by anyone who could reach the repository online.
The types of information exposed included names, ages, Medicaid IDs and medical records.
Entyre is offering all affected individuals two years of free credit monitoring and identity theft protection services through IDX, an identity protection provider.
Affected individuals received a unique enrollment code in their notification letter. To activate the free services, individuals should visit the IDX enrollment page and enter that code. The deadline to enroll is Oct. 10, 2026.
Entyre has also set up a dedicated call center for people who have questions about the breach or need additional help. The number is 1-833-788-9712, and it is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
