California Creative Solutions Data Breach Exposes SSNs

California Creative Solutions Inc., a Poway, California-based IT services and consulting company, disclosed a data breach that exposed Social Security numbers. The company, also known as CCS Global Tech, was founded in 1997 and has approximately 700 employees worldwide.

The breach was disclosed to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation, as well as mailed notification letters to affected consumers on Aug. 31, 2026.

The breach involved a ransomware attack on the company's computer systems. On June 12, 2026, a ransomware group calling itself BravoX posted a claim on the dark web using the Tor network. The group specifically identified the company by its CCS Global Tech operating name in the posting.

BravoX stated it had obtained 1.3 terabytes of data from the organization and threatened to make the stolen information publicly available within nine to 10 days. The dark web posting appeared approximately two and a half months before affected individuals were notified of the breach.

The type of personal information exposed in the breach included Social Security numbers.

California Creative Solutions' response to the breach

California Creative Solutions is providing affected individuals with 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity restoration services through Experian IdentityWorks.

To activate the credit monitoring tools, affected individuals can visit the Experian IdentityWorks enrollment page and enter the unique activation code included in their notification letter. The enrollment deadline is Dec. 31, 2026.
