C2N Diagnostics LLC, a biotechnology company based in St. Louis, disclosed a data breach that affected approximately 2,027 individuals in the United States.
C2N Diagnostics posted a notice about the cybersecurity incident on its website on April 27, 2026.
On March 6, 2026, C2N Diagnostics discovered unauthorized access to a number of the company's employees' stored email communications. The email communications contained personal information belonging to patients and other individuals.
After discovering the unauthorized access, the company launched an investigation to determine the full scope of the breach and identify what types of information may have been compromised.
The types of personally identifiable information exposed included names, dates of birth, contact information and Social Security numbers. The breach also involved protected health information, including health insurance information and health information such as blood test analysis results.
Because the breach involved Social Security numbers alongside sensitive health information, affected individuals face heightened risks. C2N Diagnostics are offering identity protection and credit monitoring services to help affected individuals detect early signs of misuse.
Individuals with questions about the breach or who need help enrolling in identity protection services can call 844-403-4607 toll-free. The call center is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Central Time and is closed on U.S. observed holidays.
