Bridgeway Data Breach Exposes Social Security Numbers

Bridgeway Benefit Technologies LLC, a private software company headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, disclosed a data breach involving unauthorized access to its computer systems.

The company provides benefits administration technology to third-party administrators that manage multiemployer health and retirement plans for union workers.

So far, the breach impacted 1,326 Massachusetts residents and 15 Vermont residents. The company mailed letter to affected consumers on July 24, 2026.

An unauthorized third party gained access to Bridgeway Benefit Technologies' computer systems. The incident was limited to Bridgeway's own systems and did not involve unauthorized access to the networks of the benefit plans whose members were affected.

The personal information that may have been exposed includes names and Social Security numbers.

Bridgeway Benefit Technologies' response to the breach

Bridgeway is offering 24 months of free credit monitoring and identity protection through IDX. The coverage includes a $1,000,000 insurance reimbursement policy and fully managed identity theft recovery services.

Affected individuals can enroll online by visiting the IDX enrollment page and entering the enrollment code from their notification letter. They can also enroll by scanning a QR code included in the letter or by calling 1-866-200-0989 for assistance. The enrollment deadline is Oct. 24, 2026.
