Blue Teal Holdings Data Breach Exposes PHI and PII for Thousands of Individuals

Blue Teal Holdings LLC, a privately held commercial holding and investment company based in Wichita Falls, Texas operating as Eagle Oil & Gas Co, disclosed a data breach that exposed sensitive personal, financial and health-related information. The breach has so far impacted 9,648 Texas residents, 36 Massachusetts residents and eight Maine residents.

The breach was also reported to the California Attorney General. Blue Teal posted a notice on its website with additional details about the incident.

On or about Oct. 13, 2025, Blue Teal experienced unauthorized access to certain systems in its network environment. An investigation determined that certain files within the affected systems were subject to unauthorized access or acquisition.

The review found that some of those files contained protected personal information belonging to individuals with a current or previous relationship with one of Blue Teal's affiliates, subsidiaries or other related entities.

The types of personally identifiable information potentially exposed include names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, dates of death, driver's license or state identification numbers and taxpayer identification numbers, account numbers, account types, routing numbers, payment card numbers, payment card personal identification numbers, payment card expiration dates and credit or debit card numbers.

The types of protected health information potentially exposed include health benefit plan names, diagnoses, mental or physical conditions, treatment locations, biometric data, health insurance policy numbers, subscriber member numbers and provider names.

Blue Teal's response to the breach

Blue Teal is offering affected individuals complimentary credit and identity monitoring through Epiq Privacy Solutions. The enrollment deadline is Aug. 31, 2026.

Blue Teal has set up a dedicated toll-free response line at 1-844-558-4460 for individuals who have questions or need to determine if they were affected. Representatives are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time, excluding major U.S. holidays.
