The incident was reported to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation on Jan. 20, 2026, and a detailed notice was provided to those impacted.
The breach involved sensitive consumer information, including Social Security numbers and financial account details.

In response to the incident, Bankers Healthcare Group took several precautionary measures to enhance security. These included changing internal passwords and modifying email settings and controls to help prevent similar incidents in the future.
For those affected, the company is offering complimentary access to Experian IdentityWorks for 24 months. This service includes credit monitoring, identity restoration support, and up to $1 million in identity theft insurance.
Impacted individuals can enroll by visiting the Experian IdentityWorks website and using the activation code provided in their notification letter. Enrollment must be completed by April 30, 2026.
The company also provided contact information for the Federal Trade Commission and the three major credit bureaus, encouraging affected individuals to take proactive steps to protect their identity and financial information.
