Axxcss Wireless Solutions Inc., a telecommunications company headquartered in Goleta, California, disclosed a data breach that may have compromised the personal information of some of its current and former workers.

Axxcss Wireless Solutions first detected the incident on Dec. 4, 2025, and began notifying affected individuals with letters dated April 13, 2026.

The breach was disclosed to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation on April 14, 2026.

The total number of people affected nationwide was not disclosed in the filing.

What happened in the Axxcss Wireless Solutions data breach

An unknown third party gained unauthorized access to the Axxcss Wireless Solutions network environment between Nov. 30 and Dec. 4, 2025. The intrusion included access to a server that stored business administration information.

Following a forensic investigation, the company determined that some human resources files containing personal information may have been exposed during the incident. These files held records of current and former employees and independent contractors of the company.

The types of personal information potentially exposed include names, addresses, Social Security numbers, identification cards, passport or other government identification numbers and dates of birth.

The company did not identify the specific individual or group responsible for the unauthorized access in its notification.

Steps to take if your information was exposed

  • Place a credit freeze with Equifax at 1-800-685-1111, Experian at 1-888-397-3742 and TransUnion at 1-888-909-8872 to help prevent new accounts from being opened using stolen information.
  • Consider placing a fraud alert by contacting any one of the three credit bureaus, such as through Experian's fraud center or TransUnion's fraud alert page, and that agency will notify the other two.
  • Request and review free credit reports at AnnualCreditReport.com or by calling 1-877-322-8228, and check reports from Equifax, Experian and TransUnion for unfamiliar accounts or inquiries.
  • Monitor financial accounts and government benefit statements closely for any unauthorized activity, given that Social Security numbers and government identification numbers were among the data potentially exposed.
  • Safeguard identity documents by keeping copies of passports and government-issued IDs in a secure location and reporting any suspected misuse to the issuing agency.
  • Be cautious of phishing attempts that reference Axxcss Wireless Solutions or this data breach by name, as scammers may use breach notifications to trick people into sharing additional personal information.
