
On Sept. 30, 2025, Ansell Healthcare Products LLC USA, a leading provider of personal protective equipment, discovered unauthorized access to certain sets of company data.
The breach investigation revealed that an unknown actor gained access to Ansell’s systems on or around Aug. 9, 2025. The company began containment and launched an extensive investigation with cybersecurity experts to determine the scope and impact of the incident.
After a thorough review of the compromised files, Ansell confirmed that the information potentially accessed included names and Social Security numbers—both considered personally identifiable information (PII).
The incident impacted a total of 2,061 individuals in the United States, with one Maine resident specifically notified in accordance with state regulations.
Ansell reported the breach to the Maine Attorney General on March 10, 2026. Written notice was sent to affected individuals.
The company has not publicly identified the responsible party or detailed the specific method used to gain access.
To help protect those affected, Ansell is offering a complimentary 12-month subscription to Norton LifeLock identity protection services to impacted individuals and their dependents where available. The company has also set up dedicated support pathways for employees who have questions or concerns about the breach.
